Camper cabins are nestled in the Walden Red Pines, composed of 18 beds, washrooms on the porch with a shower house within walking distance. Well vented with screened in windows, space for camper and staff belongings.
Knees Bent... Arms Straight!!! Learning how to get up on skis or a wakeboard is the most rewarding for campers and staff of all ages.
Swimming, canoeing or kayaking to the far raft is a great opportunity for campers and staff to chill and create great memories. Located on across the lake, still under the Walden canopy.

More than just the fuel a camper needs, mealtimes are a time for kids to make healthy choices and enjoy the camaraderie of family style meals. Like any family, our kitchen team works hard to put the very best on our tables. We have something for every camper to enjoy.
Comic Hill! Comic Hill is the most epic place for slip n’ sliding, mud sliding, rolling down the hill, dancing in the rain, having a water fight, and so many other awesome activities that take place in our Comic Unit. The Comic Unit is placed right at the top of camp. It’s near all the action; Arts & Crafts, Ceramics, Basketball, Tennis, and Baseball are all right outside their cabins! The Comic Unit even has its own basketball court and tetherball courts! Comic cabins are named “Popeye”, “Flintstones”, “Road Runner” etc. Comic campers experience their 3 day, 2 night canoe trip during the month of July, consisting of going to see a movie in Pembroke, followed by a trip to McDonalds.
Walden is arranged as a cluster of villages. Each of our villages or units as they are called are equipped with a circle of cabins, a Head Staff cabin for the supervisors of the unit, a fire pit for evening campfires, and a shower house. The Walden Units form a circle. Some units are closer to the dining hall while others are closer to the waterfront. Each of our units has its own feeling, beauty, and terrain. Growing up at Walden means a transition through the five spaces at camp.
Your camper’s health and safety is our top priority. As part of that goal we bring the best possible health care to campers and staff at Camp Walden. Our on-site health centre, known as MASH, is operated by our camp doctor and a team of professional nurses. The MASH Staff are fully informed about health issues prior to the summer and they communicate with parents during the camp session should there be a need. Camp Walden has 911 services available and two local hospitals within a 30-minute drive.
Camp Walden is located east of Bancroft, Ontario. Stretching out over 750 acres, Walden offers a postcard view of the beauty of Canadian summers. We have two private lakes for swimming, sailing and canoeing surrounded by woodlands.

Walden Food Chain: An amazing opportunity for campers to nurture our Walden Garden and help our crops grow. The campers will have the opportunity to learn about the food chain, harvest and cook with our Walden grown ingredients.
